University of 3RD Age (U3A)
U3A

U3A offers informal group discussion and talks on varied subjects including current affairs, radio, TV, books, poetry, writers. It organises visits to art galleries, museums, historic sites, in addition to rail and bus trips. It meets in Ballymun Library every 2 weeks @ 2.00pm.

Dublin City University
DCU

DCU Campus lies within the boundaries of OLV Parish. The University provides third-level education for approximately 10,000 students, including 6000 undergraduate students, 2500 post-graduate students and 1500 students on Oscail/Distance Education programmes. The university has over 70 undergraduate programmes in areas such as engineering, business, science, languages and communications.

 
OLV Infants' National School

Opened in 1965, this school caters for Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class. The children move to the Boy’s and Girl’s Schools on completion of the 3 years spent in the Infant School. A special teacher is employed to teach English to non-nationals.

Ranging from 2nd to 6th Class, the number on the roll is approximately 200 girls. There are approximately 14 teachers including the Principal.
