Farewell to Fr. Kevin

Our Lady of Victories Parish Pastoral Council would like to take this opportunity of extending our best wishes to Fr. Kevin Doherty in his new assignment in Celbridge.  Fr Kevin's appointment has come as a shock to all of us and he will be sadly missed by our team as well as the wider community. Fr. Kevin was a key member of the Parish council and we are grateful for his valued contributions to both the current and the previous council. Fr. Kevin will be remembered especially for his work with the "Young Adult Group" as well as the foundation of our highly successful "Gospel choir" not to mention his dedication & commitment in setting up the Parish website in conjunction with the council.

The loss of a full-time priest in our Parish will mean future changes to the current services provided as it will be impossible to provide the same level of services with only one priest in addition to the newly appointed part-time chaplain. This change will bring many challenges for our Christian community in OLV but also a wonderful opportunity for us all to participate and engage to a greater degree in the day to day running of our Church.

The council would also like to congratulate Ciaran Coll in his recent appointment as Gospel Choir Director and wish him all the best for the future.
