Morning prayer of the church each Tuesday and Thursday at 10.40am in Our Lady’s Chapel (15 minutes approx.). Prayer changes with the Liturgical season.

Ministers of the Eucharist |
The Ministers of the Eucharist assist with distributing Holy Communion at Mass and also bring the Blessed Sacrament to the sick and the housebound.

OLV Bethany Bereavement Support Group |

Provides a support Listening service for bereaved people. Will do house calls or one to one meetings if required. Meetings 1st Friday of each month.

Boys and girls who have celebrated Holy Communion are welcome to join as altar servers in OLV parish. The commitment is to serve Mass each Sunday - usually a different Mass each week, but this depends on circumstances (football is important too!). Our coordinator for altar servers is Ann Redmond, our sacristan, who can be contacted at (01) 8420346 or 087-9724771. Ann has completed the diocesan child protection training (check also the link to our Parish Child Protection Policy).Our altar servers also have the option of joining with our family Mass group for special events (e.g. dramas at Easter and Christmas). |

The 177th Scout Group provides a range of activities to suit the local youth of the parish, including Sport, Camping, Hill Walking, Campfires, Swimming, Games and Group challenges. They also learn a wide range of skills such as survival, map and compass reading and pioneering.
